Thanks to everyone who joined us last week at the Bells Mill Bash to celebrate the end of the school year. Also a very special thank you to our parent volunteers, SSL volunteers and our PTA board members, Jenna Cooper and Claire Andrews for organizing such a special celebration for our students!

Every year, Montgomery County Public Schools hosts the Annual Drive for Supplies event, where schools donate gently used and new school supplies collected during end-of-year classroom and locker cleanouts. These donations help provide essential supplies to students and families in need as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Over the past several years, the need for supplies has outpaced the donations we receive, and we anticipate even greater demand this year. Board Member Julie Yang Introduces Screen Time Resolution
Board Member Julie Yang introduced an “Auditing Screen Time K-8” resolution, which was seconded by Board Member Laura Stewart and will now sit for public comment. Ms. Yang acknowledges all of the letters received from concerned parents about their children’s screen use in school as well as the Technology Committee’s work. She reads the “resolved” portions, which requires MCPS to conduct an audit of screen use to be provided to the Board no later than March 2027.… Read Full Post
